A visit guide to forehead filler at RESUM in Gangnam: how long to allow, what to avoid in the first week and how the staged top-up fits a trip to Seoul.

Forehead filler shapes the curve of the forehead as seen from the side, using cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA). It is aimed at a forehead that looks flat or hollow in profile, or at a curve that does not run smoothly into the nasal bridge.
The filler is placed in several layers above the bone. A cohesive volumizer builds the structure in the deep layer and a softer product smooths the surface. At RESUM Plastic Surgery Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, Dr. Jin-Young Kim plans the area and the amount with you while looking at photographs of your profile.
The injection takes 20-30 minutes, after the consultation and the topical anaesthetic. Because the forehead is built up in stages, a second, smaller session may be suggested after 2-4 weeks. Tell us your travel dates so that we can plan whether that step falls within this trip or a later one.
| Treatment time | 20-30 minutes |

| Anaesthesia | Topical anaesthesia |
| Back to daily activities | Right after the treatment |
| How long it lasts | About 6-12 months |
Filler has limits when the forehead needs a very large change. In that case fat grafting or another method may give a more natural curve, and the doctor will tell you so in the consultation. Placing a large amount in one visit is also avoided, because it tends to leave a rounded, bulging contour.

Your forehead looks flat or sunken when seen from the side.
The line from the forehead into the nasal bridge is not smooth.
You want a rounder contour up to the hairline without surgery.
Your profile matters more to you than the front view.
Swelling can appear for the first 1-2 days, and bruising or tenderness usually calms down within a few days. A light schedule for the first 2-3 days is advisable.
For 1 week, avoid strong pressure on the forehead.
The new curve is visible right away and settles at around 1 week. Judge the final contour after the swelling has gone.
Forehead filler is not performed during pregnancy or on skin with an active infection or severe inflammation.
Nodules, asymmetry and hypersensitivity reactions are reported in rare cases.
Serious vascular complications, including blindness when filler flows back into the ophthalmic artery, have been reported very rarely. The supratrochlear and supraorbital arteries run through the forehead and glabella, so the injection stays above the periosteum, is slow and small, uses a cannula between the eyebrows, and a dissolving enzyme (hyaluronidase) is kept ready.
Results vary between individuals, and a specialist consultation is required before treatment.
Yes. The injection takes 20-30 minutes and daily activities can resume right after. Plan a light schedule for the first 2-3 days, and bear in mind that any top-up is done after 2-4 weeks, which may be after you have left.
Topical anaesthesia is applied before forehead filler is injected. Swelling and tenderness can follow and usually settle within a few days.
Forehead filler suits a moderate change in the profile curve. When a very large change is needed, filler has limits, and fat grafting or another method may be more suitable. The doctor explains which applies to you in the consultation.
A first forehead treatment uses 2-4cc on average, decided according to your contours. The plan is to begin with less and add more after 2-4 weeks, because a large amount at once tends to look rounded and unnatural.
Forehead filler lasts about 6-12 months. The change is visible right after treatment and the contour settles at around 1 week, so you can assess it shortly after returning home.
